Description
At this time, City staff are monitoring whether additional public charging stations will need to be added by the local government to meet this need.
Longmont is a participating community that developed and is now implementing the Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities, which includes the development of a dynamic map of existing EV charging infrastructure has been created and will be utilized to identify priority areas within Longmont for additional charging infrastructure, particularly focused on multifamily housing sites and other areas that don't have easy access to home charging.

Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities
In 2022, a Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities was developed in collaboration with Xcel Energy's Partners in Energy program. This plan identified that by 2030, 2,380 public level 2 and DC fast charging ports should be installed equitably across Boulder County.
