Review the City’s Building Codes with an eye toward potential barriers to infill and redevelopment and/or higher density development. Consider adopting local amendments, where feasible, to provide additional flexibility while still meeting health and safety requirements.
The land development code will be changed (mid 2025) to reflect legislation by the State of Colorado to remove barriers for Accessibility Dwelling Units (ADU) to make to application process more streamlined and less restrictive. This will allow Building Services to approve these buildings in a timely manner.
