State law requires the control of noxious weeds. To comply, the City follows an integrated noxious weed management plan for parks and natural resources that outlines several control methods such as use of herbicides, mechanical control, biological control, and cultural controls such as restoring native plant communities. City staff continually evaluate control methods and incorporate those methods when and where they will be most effective while considering safety of the public and environment and working with available budgets, staff, and time.
