January 2025: A new Heat Recovery Unit was installed on the rooftop to reuse waste heat and save energy.
Basketball backboard height adjusters were repaired under warranty because the new ones weren’t working properly.
An InBody 570 body composition scale was purchased. It uses advanced technology to measure things like fat, muscle, and body water. It gives users more health information, including visceral fat and water levels inside and outside cells.
February 2025: New pool deck furniture was added to improve seating areas and give visitors tables to keep their belongings off the floor.
March 2025: The climbing wall floor was removed and replaced. Safety gear like daisy chains and anchors were also updated.
April 2025: The lobby display monitor was moved behind the front desk to make it easier to see. It shows videos about upcoming programs and fees.
The Facilities team finished upgrading the elevator with new safety and communication features.
Cabana changing room doors were replaced because the old ones were worn out and rusty.
The leisure pool was closed to fix leaks. Here’s what was found and repaired:
May 2025: The pool tables in the lobby got new felt to improve gameplay.
The babysitting playground was finished with new equipment for different age groups and a soft, safe surface. It quickly became a favorite spot for kids and staff.
June 2025: A wall near the steam room was repaired after minor shifting caused damage. The wall was not a main support wall, so the building stayed safe.
New ropes, harnesses, and belay devices were bought to improve safety and the climbing wall experience.

September 2025: New cardio equipment was added, replacing older machines. This included two ellipticals, one treadmill, and a recumbent bike.
An electric vehicle charging station was installed on the east side of the building for City vehicles.
November 2025: A commercial-grade shuffleboard table was donated and placed in the lobby for public use.
February 2024: New LED lights were installed in the gym and pool areas. These replaced older fluorescent bulbs that often stopped working.
Repairs were made to the steam room (moisture barrier), sauna (thermostat), and gym (basketball backboards and divider curtain). These repairs caused some temporary area closures.
New dumbbells were bought for fitness classes to replace worn ones and offer more size options.
July 2024: A new manual pool vacuum was purchased for the Longmont Recreation Center to help keep the pools cleaner and meet high hygiene standards.

September 2024: A rusted family cabana door was replaced.
Damaged concrete at the Rec Center entrance was removed and replaced.
December 2024: Technology updates at the front desk helped switch to a new credit card system.

The babysitting playground was completed in May with new, age-appropriate play areas. A pour-in-place safety surface was also installed, making the space safer and more enjoyable. The upgraded playground has quickly become a favorite spot for children and staff.
