The Green Star School Program is still working towards the goal of 100% participation, but will require time beyond 2025.

This strategy focuses on exploring ways to increase waste diversion at Longmont schools through possible enhancements to waste management services, infrastructure, and education. To do this work, the City participates in the Eco-Cycle Green Star Schools Program.

Mid-year 2025 update, we currently have 62% of our schools participating in Eco-Cycle's Green Star School Program and our working to add 4 more schools by the end of this year.
