2026 update, City Council has instructed sustainability staff to proceed forward with construction and deconstruction (C&D) policy planning and mapping. C&D guidance and timelines to be given by City Council. We are currently in a C&D Cohort with Boulder County and have received Accelerator Grant funding from the Colorado energy Office to bring on a C&D consultant. The cohort has a goal of joining forces to pass a tough C&D ordinance. This move will mandate the reuse and recycling of building materials, setting a new standard for waste diversion
