Transition a significant amount of Longmont’s idle land – used primarily for decorative lawns, or “wasted” in easements and right of ways, to productive, sustainably managed micro-agricultural land.
The above land use goal strategy is on hold until it can be evaluated as part of future plan updates.
Based on that evaluation, staff will provide a recommendation on how to best move forward. Currently, zoning allows for urban agriculture as a permitted accessory use in all zoning districts.
