Work with property owners and developers within the identified Focus Areas to implement redevelopment and infill projects, including exploring public/private partnership opportunities where feasible, that meet the vision and goals of this plan.

City staff has been very active in recruiting developers for economically distressed properties and areas throughout the City. This has led to interest in the 1st and Main Transit Area, the STEAM area, the "old" Walmart site (Hover and Nelson), north Main Street, and the Longmont Sugar Factory properties. One such facilitated project, a 250+/- apartment project at 2nd and Martin, is under construction. Other projects are anticipated to start construction in 2025-26.
