Encourage support for and seek public/private partnerships for projects that include affordable housing and/or non-traditional housing options for older adults or those with special housing needs, through new construction and adaptive reuse.

The Housing and Community Investment Division administers an annual funding application cycle for affordable housing development projects, using both local and federal HUD resources. The funding cycle encourages public-private partnerships to maximize leveraging of public funds. On June 25, 2024, City Council approved over $3 Million of funding awards for affordable housing projects, including rehabilitation, new construction, and land acquisition projects.
