Lead paragraph

Identify a permanent, dedicated funding source for the Affordable Housing Fund.

Description

Throughout 2024, Housing and Community Investment staff engaged with neighboring municipalities, Boulder County staff, elected officials, and other community stakeholders to determine allocation of funding from Boulder County Ballot Initiative 1B (Affordable Housing Extension), which passed in November 2023. 1B funding allocation decisions were announced by the Boulder County Commissioners in late 2024. The City of Longmont will receive a dedicated portion of 1B funds for development of affordable housing (estimated at approximately $2.8 Million) for the next three years: 2025, 2026, 2027.
