In 2025, Longmont Power & Communications and Platte River Power Authority will provide electric utility customers with real-time information on the carbon-intensity of power production to help align energy demand and renewable energy availability on the grid.

Description

Platte River Power Authority's website has near real-time energy generation by source at https://www.prpa.org/energy-production/. In addition, City staff are working with Platte River and the other owner communities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Loveland to develop requirements and standards for coordinated forecasting and signaling for utility and customer-based demand flexibility programming anticipated in the next few years.
