1.131st and Main Transit Station

The City has received an agreed to $16.4 million in funding from RTD with which to proceed with design and construction of the transit facilities that includes a structural parking garage with bus station at ground level and construction of new infrastructure and the extension of Coffman Street as part of the Coffman Street Multimodal Corridor. Construction plans for Coffman Street are at 30% completion. Negotiations relative to parking garage/bus station and adjoining mixed use development with about 300 apartment units and commercial space at ground floor underway with private sector developer. Construction on these facilities is anticipated to commence the 1st Qtr. of 2026. Acquisitions nearing completion. Asbestos remediation underway on buildings with demolition to begin Feb. or March 2025.
