The City of Longmont started microtransit service in December 2024. This is a critical component of eliminating the first/last mile barrier for most everyone in the City. The City of Longmont is pursuing a regional e-bike share program with five neighboring communities.

Implement specific actions at each “high level” transit area to fill the gap of First/Last Mile connections allowing people to reliably connect to/from transit and their ultimate trip end locations.

The City has hired a third-party vendor to provide microtransit service for the entire City/planning area, which connects to the Firestone - Longmont Mobility Hub on CO-119 and I-25. Additionally, the City and partners in Boulder County are working to expand electric bicycle sharing to Longmont and the surrounding areas.
