CDP Cities

Starting in 2022, the City of Longmont has been reporting progress on climate action to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The CDP is a global environmental disclosure system that evaluates, benchmarks and identifies opportunities for cities to address climate change. The CDP provides an overall final score and then a score for adaptation and mitigation.

  • Adaptation score: how well the City is preparing for and adapting proactively to actual or expected impacts of climate change.
  • Mitigation score: how well the City is measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to enable a transition towards net zero emissions.

Reporting to the CDP helps identify what Longmont is doing well and where there are opportunities to improve the City’s sustainability and climate action.
