Sustainable Opportunities, Lifestyles, and Leadership (SOLL)
In 2025, the Sustainable Opportunities, Lifestyles, and Leadership (SOLL) program completed 107 appointments. Since launching in 2020, the program has served a total of 226 households. After their appointments, 95% of survey respondents reported adopting at least one new sustainable habit—demonstrating that the program is successfully encouraging everyday sustainability.
The Community Grants Funding
- In 2026, the City of Longmont Neighborhood Programs restructured grants to improve accessibility and allocate resources more efficiently, promote sustainable neighborhood activities and projects, and streamline the application process.
- Under the new application schedule and process, close to $78,000 were awarded for neighborhood activities and projects focusing on water conservation, accessibility, and increasing the quality of life in the community with an estimated economic impact of $352.000 in the local community.
- The Longmont Neighborhood Leadership Series (NLS), a training program to develop the capacity of local leaders, offered sustainability-focused sessions on topics including an introduction to the Sustainable Opportunities, Lifestyles, and Leadership (SOLL) program and a summer series on traffic safety.
The two programs were restructured to better meet neighborhood group needs in 2026.
