While participation rates have been on the rise year-over-year, broader program outreach and expanded resident engagement is needed to reach the participation goal set for this action.

Climate Action Recommendation Report BE.5: Increase Residential Efficiency Works - Expand the Efficiency Works™ Homes audit program from 100 homes per year to 400 homes per year by 2025 and add home energy reports in 2023.

Description

This Sustainability Plan recommendation has been combined with Climate Action Recommendations Report recommendations BE.5: Increase Residential Efficiency Works.

This strategy focuses on making sure that participation in the Efficiency Works program and associated incentives are expanded. Participation in these programs can help customers reduce energy use and costs and reduce/shift peak loads.

Incentives were added to the Efficiency Works offerings mid-year in 2024 including new rebates for electrical panel upgrades, bonuses for rental properties, and bonuses for bundling envelope and heat pump measures. Air conditioner rebates have been sunset in favor of heat pump incentives.

Home energy reports were not found to be a cost-effective addition to the program, and were not added as a program offering. AMI meter technology will provide an alternative to home energy reports when a dashboard becomes available.
