Description
In 2023, staff worked with the bus shelter company to install a non-advertising bench at a southbound stop S. Main Street and relocate an advertising shelter from a deactivated stop to a northbound stop on S. Main Street.
In 2024, staff worked with Front Range Community College students who collected data on every local and regional bus stop in the City of Longmont. This data was compiled into a comprehensive inventory of every bus stop in the City which shows things like the presence or absence of bus stop amenities including benches, bike racks, shelters, and trash receptacles. Available right of way was also collected which will assist in decision-making on where amenities may be placed immediately and without the need to pour additional concrete pads.
