Description
Longmont is a participating community in the implementation of the Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities, which includes a focus on increasing access to charging infrastructure.
In January 2024, Boulder County received a $4.9M grant to support the installation of charging infrastructure across the County, prioritizing under-resourced areas. Longmont is a supporting partner on this grant and will help identify sites in Longmont for charging infrastructure over the next three years.

Xcel Energy Partners in Energy Program: A Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities
A Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities was developed in collaboration with Xcel Energy's Partners in Energy program. This plan identified that by 2030, 2,380 public level 2 and DC fast charging ports should be installed equitably across Boulder County.
