The City is participating in the regional plan and state efforts for consistent and coordinated EV education.
Description
In 2025, the Office of Sustainability explored incorporating EV "ride and drives" into existing community events and sponsored Sustainable Resilient Longmont's Electrify Longmont event, which featured EV's. Electric vehicle information was also shared with residents during Sustainable Home appointments (SOLL) and with City staff at an EV 101 class.
Longmont is a participating community that developed and is now implementing the Regional Transportation Electrification Plan for Boulder County Communities, which includes a focus on education and outreach around EV's.
Boulder County received a CFI grant to fund installation of EV charging infrastructure across the County. Longmont will be supporting the implementation of that grant over the next three years.
