2023 Tasks
In 2023, Staff:
Held meetings in early February with Transportation Management Organizations including Smart Commute North and Commuting Solutions to strategize on the development of a City of Longmont van pool program and how to encourage van-pooling amongst City Staff through direct outreach. Included in this effort is the development of a regional scatterplot map showing the rough locations of where employees live throughout the location without the need for using private addresses as a way to protect employee privacy. Once the scatterplot map is produced, Transportation Planning staff will hold in-person meetings to promote van-pooling amongst staff.

In 2024, staff:
Held planning meetings with Commute with Enterprise to discuss development of a van-pool program on behalf of City employees. Maps showing where people live by zip code were developed to determine trip origins and to determine if there are clusters of individuals within close proximity that could feasibly form car pools or van pools.
