Beyond local efforts, market innovation is helping to advance electrification with new implementation and financing mechanisms, including types of performance contracting. Partnering with and promoting various options may be necessary to make building electrification more accessible in existing buildings.

Longmont staff are tracking local, regional, and statewide efforts and initiatives that would support or fund third-party vendor options to develop, build, implement, and finance electrification projects in the existing building market.
